Split heat pump

A split air-to-water heat pump is characterized by the fact that the indoor and outdoor units are connected by a refrigerant circuit.

The heat pump collects heat from the ambient air via the outdoor unit. In order to make this stored energy useful, the compressor in the heat pump compresses the refrigerant and provides a temperature range so that the ambient heat can be used for heating, cooling and DHW production.
