Tatabánya Power Plant

Installation of a 20 MW Parat electric boiler in the Tatabánya heating plant

The 20 MW, Norwegian-made Parat electric boiler, installed in the heating plant of the Tatabánya Power Plant, contributes to the modernisation and capacity expansion of the power plant, as well as to the development of the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system at the national level.

The Parat electrode boiler is the most compact and cost-effective system for converting electricity into heat. The boiler ensures the replacement of fossil fuels with clean energy and can be switched from minimum load to full load with an extremely short response time.

Parat is a world leader in the production of high-voltage electrode steam boilers. With a pressure of 6-85 bar and a power of up to 75 MW, it is the optimal solution for all system sizes.
